The Walking Club Committee 2004/05

The 2004/05 committee was made up of Alistair Dabbs (President), Chris Clayton (Treasurer) and Dave Spark (Secretary). After the start of the year they were rarely seen in the same room at the same time, but things ticked along nicely and the year was a complete success. If you can't remember them, here're a few photos to jog your memory...

Not many pictures of Alistair - after a great start on the first couple of trips, he sort of went AWOL...but will remembered for his enthusiasm and the remarkable amount of kit he carried around to make sure everyone was well equiped.

Chris was a rock throughout the year, making sure the trips went ahead, we had enough transport (just about!) and somewhere to sleep (ahhh, what memories of the wonderful cow shed!). He made a point of inviting members from around the country on the weekends and liked to end walks at a teashop - failing that a pub would make do. Chris could always be seen in the latest mountain gear, which has proved essential in weighing him down and preventing him from blowing off the side of the mountains...



And Dave, what can I say? Dave did all the important behind the scenes work, maintaining communications, updating the website and doing all admin stuff that is often forgotten about. Always at the heart of the social events, Dave's a bit of a ladies' man (see below), I'm not sure we ever actually saw him walk anywhere...
